Here is some of our favorite cookies.  I love them because they have everything to them, ease taste, n super cheap!   The picture's pretty much explain it all.

1. your favorite cake mix
2. 2 cups of cool whip, and 1 egg
then mix.
3.  drop a small amount of dough in powdered sugar and roll.  Then drop that on a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 8 minutes.
Enjoy,

second round

Here we are with the second go.  Thanks to Ena who kept it organized, and (did most of the work)
the cookies turned out great!  so cute and tasty!

Sugar cookies

So here is my attempt to do sugar cookies.  I made these last year too.   I love snow flakes!
I love the idea of doing sugar cookies but had no idea it took so long!  So hats off to all the people who sit and make these!
I used store bought pre made cookie dough.  Also the second half of the cookies stopped holding there snowflake shape so I ended up turning them into poinsettias.  After about 10 cookies of hand piping i was over it!   But some crazy part of me wants to make more.  So early next week I'm getting together with a friend to do more.  I'm sure with the company of a good friend, and some coffee (maybe some baileys) it will be much more enjoyable!

soooooo

So were back, and me being the blond forgot to check my camera for a camera card.  :(  I'm so sad, I didn't get any pictures of the wedding we did in Paso Robles.  So I am at the mercy of the photographer.  Hopefully in a couple weeks, I can get some images.

Other then that we had a blast!  We did not have enough time to see the the wineries.  I went to 3, it was so nice!  i learned how to taste right, and you really could taste a difference with swirling sniffing then tasting. I had some really yummy wines, and cant wait to go back!

Destination wedding

Well. I'm so excited to have another destination wedding!  And it's in a gorgeous town.
Paso Robles.  Vina Robles, so quant and charming!  I love this town too.
What a treat to go to such a fun town and venue and to go to work!
Were going to do deep reds, with rustic greens,  Wrought iron stands, and chunky candle sticks.
A lot of candles!
I'll posts pics next week.

delay...

Morning, I had a delay with the  blog,
1. we were busy,
and
 2. I am looking for a better blog templet to work with.  I have one I have started (other then this one) but it's not really user friendly, for me any way.  I guess it could be user error.. :)
but in the mean time I'll keep this one going until i change it.

This past week we were honored and excited to work with Lindsay from LVL weddings.
The event was an ABC meeting at house of blues.  Being a huge fan of music I was really excited to work there.
Here are some images enjoy,

How LABOR DAY started

Labor Day History: How Did Labor Day Become a Holiday? – This coming Monday, September 6, 2010 will be aLabor Day in the United States and Canada. What is Labor Day and what does it mean to you? Labor Day is an annual holiday observed on the first Monday in September to celebrate the economic and social achievements of laborers which consists of most of us. It represents an annual national tribute to the contributions we as laborers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
The history of Labor Day in the United States dates back in September 5, 1882 in New York City in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. By 1884, the first Monday in September was selected as the holiday to celebrate Labor Day, as originally proposed by the union. Since then, the Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and celebrate a “workingmen’s holiday” on that date.

orangestreetfair.org/Last day of the orange street fair.  I woke up early and took the kids down.  We were eating rosettes,  and danish aebleskevers by 10:00.
It was nice, a little to hot for me.  Bounce house's and a little carnival area for the kids. Next time I go maybe no kids so I can go into all the cute antique shops.

Fire safety

So last night i was burning a candle in a mason jar with dirt at the bottom, the candle ran out and the dirt actually caught on fire!  The whole jar was in flames cracking the glass, I have also had this happen before with coffee beans, so FYI have the candle or tea light that is made for burning in another glass container inside the jar.

Okay here it is, my dill pickle soup, I'm  please with the turn out, its creamy, smooth and the pickle taste is yummy!

Dill pickle soup

Ok today is the day.  I am going to do a trial run of a dill pickle soup I had in the Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck, also known as Zosia's (the restaurant in the basement) in Michigan. www.food.com/recipe/zosias-polish-dill-pickle-soup-264619 Sounds weird but it was amazing! If you like potato salad you'll love this soup!
I'll let you know how it turns out~
